Attica, Ind – March 27 == The lifeless body of Newton EPPERSON was found this morning near where the old ice house formerly stood. A two ounce bottle of carbolic acid and quart bottle half full of whiskey were found near the body. It is believed Epperson committed suicide. Coroner C. A. Holley viewed the remains. The body was found by Bert Beyers and Tom Ellis as they were on their way to work. It is believe life had been extinct for two days.

Newton Epperson was found dead at his home in Attica today. Two bottles were at his side when found. One contained whiskey and the other carbolic acid. Evidently he had been dead for about two days. He was 50 years old.
